Badminton: ZII JIA, Wei Chong-Kai Wun reach Arctic open semi-finals

In the Arctic Open badminton tournament, Malaysian shuttler Lee Zii Jia has reached the men's singles semi-finals. In the quarter-finals, Zii Jia won the first game against fellow Malaysian Leong Jun Hao with a score of 21-16 but lost the second game 19-21. He secured the win when Leong Jun Hao retired due to injury in the third game. Zii Jia, who is ranked 14th in the world, will face Denmark's world No. 10 Anders Antonsen in the semi-finals.

In men's doubles, the Malaysian pair of Man Wei Chong and Tee Kai Wun, ranked 23rd in the world, made it to the semi-finals by defeating Indonesia's 2022 Asian champions Pramudya Kusumawardana and Yeremia Rambitan with a score of 22-20, 21-18. They will face Denmark's world No. 29 Rasmus Kjaer and Frederik Sogaard in the semi-finals. In another quarter-final match, the Danish pair defeated the independent Malaysian pair of Ong Yew Sin and Teo Ee Yi with scores of 16-21, 21-19, 21-14.
