Chinese team wins Asian Games badminton men's singles gold medal

In badminton at the Hangzhou Asian Games:

China's Li Shifeng reached the men's singles final by defeating Prannoy Haseena Sunil Kumar of India. He will face compatriot Shi Yuqi in the final, guaranteeing gold and silver medals for China. Li won 21-16, 21-9 in 51 minutes and had previously overcome a winless streak against Kumar.

In the women's singles, South Korea's An Se-young, the world No 1, beat China's He Bingjiao 21-10, 21-13. She will compete for her 10th individual title this season against China's Chen Yufei.

In the mixed doubles, top seeds Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong rallied to beat newly-crowned world champions Seo Seung-jae and Chae Yu-jung 13-21, 21-15, 21-16. They will face Japan's Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino in the final.

The men's doubles final will feature South Korea's Choi Sol-gyu and Kim Won-ho against India's Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty.

The women's doubles final will include China's Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan against Lee So-hee and Baek Ha-na of South Korea.
Gold medals in these five categories will be awarded on Saturday.
